The Trade Show Planner is responsible for the overall trade show program, including the budget, design and management of the program. This position works closely with the marketing team to ensure all shows reach maximum impact and stay within brand guidelines. This position will also be responsible for managing relationships with vendors and ensuring that all materials and collateral are prepared and delivered to the trade show venue in a timely manner.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and execute corporate trade shows and events, including coordinating logistics, managing vendors, and overseeing event setup and breakdown.
- Manage event budgets and track expenses to ensure events are executed on-budget.
- Work closely with the marketing team to ensure that all trade show collateral, signage, and printed and digital promotional materials are prepared and delivered on-time.
- Develop and maintain relationships with trade show vendors, negotiate contracts, and manage vendor performance to ensure the highest level of service.
- Manage pre-show activities, including booth design, shipping and return of materials.
- Ensure that all events are executed in compliance with company policies, procedures, and standards.
- Analyze event performance metrics to continually improve trade show performance and ROI.
- Keep abreast of industry trends and best practices in event planning and management.
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, or related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience
- 3+ years of experience in event planning and management, specifically in corporate trade shows.
- Strong project management and organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently with minimal guidance and as part of a team.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accuracy under pressure.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and event management software.
